This two-day workshop teaches you to make a variety of beads in the traditional Venetian techniques of bead making.

You will learn to form coloured glass rods to make beads, surface decoration, stringer and twisty decoration, floral techniques, triangle beads and gravity beads. We will talk about OH&S, set up of equipment at home and suppliers.

We will troubleshoot common mistakes and overcome difficulties. All materials, tools and glass provided, and all students’ work on minor burner.

About Pauline

Pauline Delaney is a glass artist who works in designing and making handblown glass, lampwork glass beads and lampwork glass jewellery for galleries. She also produces individual focal glass beads and glass lampwork bead sets for clients.

Pauline's work is represented in many private, corporate and public collections including The Corning Museum of Glass, New York, USA.
